VISAKHAPATNAM: Friday midnight roll-out of GST has not only made people rush to electronics shops fearing price surge of their favourite gadgets, it has also taken by storm the social media where netizens poured out their funny side.

Right from commenting on the consequences of GST to punchy jabs and memes, social media users had a field day on various platforms, such as Twitter, WhatsApp, Facebook, etc. on Friday, just hours before the roll-out. "What is GST? When you were not married and came home late, you had to answer first to your sister, then your mother and finally to your father. But after your marriage, you answered only to your wife. Only to one person, not to the entire family. That's GST. So simple," was a trending post.

An anonymous WhatsApp user posted: "Please do not send any GST-related jokes, mobile battery automatically goes down by 28%."
